A Steamy Night
Nos. 480 and 481 are at the Durango Station.
No. 480 and No. 481 are both K-36 class 2-8-2 "Mikado" type narrow gauge steam locomotives built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1925 for the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad (D&RGW).
They are now permanent residents of the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (D&SNG). They are two of four class K-36 locomotives in operation at the D&SNG, the others being Nos. 482, and 486.
