Just a Country Boy
When I saw this wild pony walking along the Appalachian Trail with a blade of grass in his mouth it reminded me of growing up in the country. We’d break off a blade of wild grass, stick it between our teeth, and head out to explore the countryside.
This image was made along the AT where the wild ponies roam on the mile-high open balds in Grayson Highlands in southwest Virginia.
