Rotor
Rotor stepped out of the shadow and into the early morning sunlight. When he looked at me, he raised his ears in curiosity...The Goats of Roan series began with the ten-year Baa-tany Goat Project. The goats spent summers alongside the Appalachian Trail on the border of Tennessee and North Carolina, grazing on the balds of the Roan Mountain Highlands. The rest of the year they spent on their farm in beautiful Shady Valley, Tennessee. ..The Goats of Roan series includes images made on the Roan Mountain Highlands, on their farm, and special goats I’ve photographed during my travels. Rotor is one of these special goats who lives on the Good Fibrations Farm in Barnardsville, NC. .
