Returning the Empties
Nevada Northern Railway engines 109 and 105 are pulling the empty ore cars through the yard.
The 75’ tall water tower was built in 1914 and holds 100,000 gallons.
The concrete coaling tower was built in 1917.
No. 109 was built in 1950 by the American Locomotive Company (ALCO). Engine 105, also an ALCO, was purchased in 1949. The Ingoldsby ore cars all date from the early 1900s.
